So as many of you know, Luna and I have been raising small batches of pigs over the last few years. We always had them in the winter, in order to have them ready for our spring delivery run in April. This year Luna and I decided that we are going to raise our pigs through the summer months. Their diet is made up of everything from grass, to food scraps, to oats and even the odd egg that gets cracked in our chicken coop. They also have no shortage of acres to explore on and it's amazing to see what they find to forage on. We will have our pork ready for our November delivery run. Pork raised the old fashioned way, free to roam with no shortage of fresh air or things to occupy a pig's curiosity. By raising them in the summer, they will have a bigger variety of things to eat in the pastures because the ground will no longer be frozen. We will be building a pond just for the pigs so that they can truly be pigs and go wallow whenever they want.
We have a limited supply and order cut off will be the end of April. We are asking for a $200 deposit sent to order@bisonguy.ca with reference to your order # on the $700 for half a pig. The order cut off is necessary so that we know how many pigs we need to raise this year to fill all the orders. Your deposit will ensure that you have a side of pork waiting for you on the November delivery run.
What you will receive is 70 lbs of the best free range pork in BC, your 70 lbs will contain everything from pork chops and roasts, to bacon and ham, you will also receive sausages and pork loin.
Luna and I will also send out email updates directly to our pork customers, with pictures of how your pork is growing, over the Summer and Fall
